I've personally had better results with light therapy than cognitive behavioural therapy for Seasonal Affective Disorder. I have tried CBT for depression and this seemed to work extremely well but for SAD I was better with the lights.

I also recommend regular exercise, natural sunlight and increasing your intake of fresh fruit and vegetables to get with Seasonal Affective Disorder.

I wonder if the results would have been the same in a large group of adults? I've always found it funny how the brain can cause amazing things to occur simply because it believes it is taking something it is not. I wrote an article about that once on my website BC Therapists. Excellent read.

The blog was just amazing and very informative as well. Dental phobia occurs due to the bad experience in the past with a dentist. There are various ways to help the patients with the dental phobia. Sedation dentistry will help the patients with the dental phobia and make them feel comfortable during the dental visit.

I found this video very interesting. I have bipolar disorder and I have also received treatment with CBT, but it was limited in term. So, I apply the techniques on my own now. I've personally found that CBT can be quite helpful with my anxiety and also my depression (the latter to a lesser extent). However, I've not had much success with self-application during manic or even hypomanic phases.

This video implies that the treatment involves a therapist helping with specific manic ideas, and perhaps that is the problem with self-application. Because mania and hypomania also take away the sense that anything is wrong, it's not so much that CBT wouldn't work on those phases, but that I don't see the point in applying it at the time. After all, that I'm fine is a part of my symptoms.

What this indicates to me is that the use of CBT during manic phases would require ongoing treatment, rather than the limited and self-applied treatment that I learned.

Good morning,
I am Rahma, and i'm studiying psychology in Morocco, Casablanca, I'm very interested by the CBT wich isn't really teached in my school, because it's still influenced by the analythic model. This year is my last year of studies and my ambition is to become a psychologist working with the CBT, my question is: How can i assist to the conferences wich are done around the world? Am i needing to be in some guest list? Can you let me know the details of the calendar about this ind of meeting? Is it open to anyone intersted? have i to pay something? and also, if i want to come for some workshop, is the visa easy to obtain? How many time will i need? and what is the price of a full formatio?
Thank you very much for the intention you'll give to my request; and congratualions for your great work.

Congratulations on the new website. It is very useful and easy to navigate. What a boost for CBT, patients, and therapists. I have found CBT to be so helpful for many of my adults with ADD/ADHD.
