First Post!

Welcome to CT Today. Here at the Beck Institute, we’ve been planning to start a Cognitive Therapy blog for some time, and have finally worked out the details. For those of you who don’t know what a blog is (some of us didn’t!), it’s short for “web log,” a place for informal comments and updates about whatever the writer or writers want to talk about. For us, the topic will be Cognitive Therapy (developed by Aaron T. Beck, M.D. in the 1960s) — up to date information about what CT is, disorders it can treat, research studies that show it to be effective, training programs, testimonials, what the press is saying about CT, frequently asked questions, and personal glimpses of what’s happening at the Beck Institute. In the coming months, we hope to provide a wealth of information on this blog, and to write in with the latest updates several times a week. We hope that you will bookmark this site and come back often to visit — and let us know if you have questions or suggestions.

When you visit CT Today, you’ll see the most recent “post” or entry at the top of the page, with older entries below it. You can also look for posts by category or by month along the right side of your screen. If you’re looking for general information About Us or want to know how to contact us, you’ll find all that under “CT Today Info,” also on the right. We hope to hear from you! Thank you for visiting CT Today.
